By now it is very much proved that in order to make a huge change in any area of our lives, all we need to do, is to do it daily. This post will prove it further.
The question then is, how do we develop a daily habit?
If I have to write every day, how do I ensure I write every day? If I have to jog every day, how do I ensure I jog every day? The same goes for dancing, painting, singing, playing and all other value enhancing activities we know are important and yet we procrastinate like anything.
Well, the answer to this question can be different for different people. One of them lies in asking the self another question. And that is this.
Before the day is over, ask the self, “Today did I do what I wanted to do?” If the answer is Yes, give the self a pat on the back! If the answer is No, do something about it before sleeping. 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 30 minutes does not matter. If the answer is No, something must be done about it before sleeping.
And that’s it. Easy peasy!
So let me ask you then. ‘Today did you do what you wanted to do?’
